I have just returned from a well earned break, having spent a couple weeks in China and Singapore – from one extreme to the next, I was building snow castles in Beijing at minus 12 degrees one day
and enjoying the luxury of sliding down a water slide at a resort on Sentosa Island the very next day. I recommend the later to anyone that needs a relaxing break.
Now down to business regarding those RTOs under the National Regulator: The Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations 2011 has now been revoked, however, do not lose any
sleep. The new Standards are titled Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations 2012. The Data Provision Requirements 2011 has also been amended, the new
title is Data Provision Requirements 2012.
I have reviewed both instruments and the changes were only technical amendments, such as name change from NQC to NSSC (refer SNR 4.4 (a) and SNR 15.4 (a)) in Standards for NVR Registered Training
Organisations 2012. If you would like to have a read, the link is http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Series/C2011A00012/Enables
Don't get caught out, review your documentation to ensure that you are not referring to the revoked standards.
By the way this is not to be confused with the outcome of the National Review, which is some time away for implementation – 2014.
Don't forget, there are 4 other legislative instruments you must maintain compliance.
