Ray
Earl is Founder and CEO of Skynet Corporation Pty Ltd.
A brief reflection of some of Ray’s qualities, qualifications and
experience, the combination of which, are the basis of this
company.
Ray has had extensive experience in business, through acquisitions
and green fielding, having owned and operated more than ten
successful business operations in the last 20 years.
Ray has also held management positions to CEO level
with several medium to large Companies in the vocations of
Education, Engineering Management and Information Technology where
his positions were to look at ways to increase efficiencies,
develop systems, streamline production, project management, staff
training and development and continuous improvement (not exhaustive
by any means).
Early in 1999, Ray Earl established Skynet
Corporation Pty. Ltd. as an Information Technology Support Company.
As the business grew it was decided to diversify into the area of
training & assessment, business consultation, facilitation and
quality management system development. Skynet Education was created
and a platform for the delivery and development of quality training
and service delivery in a flexible manner was born.
Working with a dedicated group of trainers, facilitators and
business consultants, Ray has developed a committed quality
training company, with an established client base, and an
ever-expanding range of quality training products and service
consultation. The primary goal is to provide innovative learning
and quality training products to help clients and individuals meet
their goals.
Ray is an avid writer and has written a number of
articles on training and assessment, eBooks and management
consulting. In addition, Ray began developing policies, procedures
and associated documentation aligned to AQTF for his own previous
RTO - his RTO always passed audits. A few RTOs asked to use his
documentation - at this point Ray realised there was a potential
market for his quality product. He went on to develop several
iterations of AQTF through to AQTF Essential Conditions and
Standards for Initial/Continuing Registration - How To Meet The
Standards CD. The product range increased to include: The VRQA
Guidelines - How To Meet Them CD and CRICOS materials for
International Colleges. His latest project was the development of
the New VET Quality Framework Quality Management System which will
include policies, procedures and forms in line with the VQF
including legislative instruments. Ray also developed and
facilitated, The VET Quality Framework - Legislative Instruments
and Risk Management Brief which he delivered during August and
September 2011 to more than 260 RTOs all over Australia.

Ray walks the talk, has worldly practical experience in all
facets of business and holds a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship
and Innovation received from the Australian Graduate School of
Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University. Ray has worked as a
sessional lecturer at Swinburne University and states, "I enjoy
breathing life into my lectures by providing real life experiences,
this is something that you can't find in a text book. The students
are always being challenged and in turn they challenge me, which is
a fantastic learning experience."
Ray previously worked as Manager for Innovation and Projects at
RMIT where he set up a AQTF division and managed several other
departments, he then moved into a role as CEO of a National RTO
with campuses in two States, he remained in that role for 2 years.
He now focusses on his education consulting business fulltime. Rays
latest achievement is the completion of a Masters of
Education.
