Internal Audit Workshop
Auditing at the Coal Face is an interactive workshop developed
and facilitated by a qualified auditor and respected education
specialist. The workshop takes a practical look at internal
auditing from the ground up, providing ‘real world’ knowledge and
experience with a practical focus.
The standards for NVR RTOs (and AQTF) SNR 6.2 & 17.2 (element
3.2) talks about the use of a systematic and continuous improvement
approach to the management of operations. One such approach
is via the use of Internal Audits to objectively identify non
compliance and needs for corrective action, reduce risk and unveil
opportunities for improvement of RTO operations.

workshop will cover these topics:

- Investigating the main areas of non compliance

- Activities: completion of Mini Audits

The facilitator is Ray
Earl
Ray has worked in the VET sector for over 12 years in a number of
positions from Trainer/Assessor through to Training &
Compliance Manager, Manager Projects & Innovation and also CEO
of two RTOs (one of which was his own RTO – Skynet Education). He
worked in public and private RTOs, in TAFE where he set up an AQTF
Internal Audit division and other RTOs setting up governance and
quality management systems. Ray developed and facilitated the VET
Quality Framework Legislative Instrument and Risk Management Brief
and road showed to over 200 RTOs all over Australia in 2011. He has
audited many RTOs throughout Australia and has developed resources
aligned with the VET Quality Framework, AQTF, and the National
Code.
