Profile of Dr. Deng
Dr. Deng has been involved in Chinese law area for almost 20
years and has a very solid understanding of the Chinese legal
system. Dr. Yuqiong Deng took her Ph.D degree in 2005 and Master
degree in 1999 from Renmin University which is the most prestigious
law school in China, and in 1993 she graduated in economic law from
Hanshou college of law school of Anhui University.
Dr. Deng achieved her associate professor title in 2006 in
Chinese People’s Public Security University where she has been a
lecturer from 1999 and has published numerous works on her areas of
expertise including: 3 law books, 24 legal articles and dozens of
chapters. She also has completed considerable police training and
consultant work for economic crimes investigation and legal issues
in China.
Dr. Deng has experience as a visiting professor at the
prestigious Law School of Monash University in Melbourne, Australia
for a period of one year from 2007 to 2008. She was doing research
on anti-money laundering and also presented a speech in the
Technical Forum in AUSTRAC (Australian Transaction Reports and
Analysis Centre) in Sydney in March 2008; she also took part in the
2nd Annual Anti Money Laundering Forum as Chairperson and attended
other meetings.
Dr. Deng has considerable experience in consultant work for
foreign direct investment, employment law and merger &
acquisition at the Wis & Weals Law Firm. The detailed services
include:
1. Foreign Direct Investment. When a foreign client
intends on establishing joint-venture companies,
wholly-owned-foreign-enterprises, investment holding companies,
trading companies and representative offices, the legal services
offered may include: legal environment analysis prior to
establishment, market survey, joint-venture partner recommendation,
project negotiation, due-diligence investigation, drafting and
reviewing legal documents, applications for approval and
registration with various levels of authorities, launching of
investment projects and daily legal service.
2. Employment Law. The foreign clients can be offered
assistance with drawing up employment contract, non-competition
agreement, confidentiality agreement, staff manual, and so on. We
also defend our client employers against lawsuits, including claims
for wrongful termination, breach of contract, trade secret
misappropriation, and so on.
3. Merger & Acquisition. The legal service in this
